You can start your trip from Grand Bay beach, located in the north of the island, and it takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach Ile Aux Gabriel Island.

Enjoy the “Pailles en Queue” birds when sailing along the island of Coin de Mire, and the possibility of watching whales and dolphins. Our dedicated and attentive crew members will serve a wide variety of drinks, cocktails and other local beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, throughout the trip and a barbecue lunch buffet.

How to book

BOOKING WITH TRAVELHUB

You will receive a confirmation email and voucher ticket instantly after booking.
You can present the voucher either in printed or via your mobile.
In the event that you do not receive an email from us after booking, please check your Spam folder or notify us via email.
If using our transport services, you will receive your driver’s contact details by email at least a day before your scheduled tour.
Meet your driver on-time at your hotel reception. Please always inform your hotel in advance about his arrival so as to avoid any delays at the hotel entrance. The pick-up time will be communicated to you 1-2 days before OR feel free to ask us via Chat, Email or Whatsapp if need it urgently.

How do I pay for my tour?

An upfront online payment will be required to confirm your booking. Pay online with your credit card via Paypal.

Existing customers can choose to pay in cash directly to the driver. A past booking reference might be required. Please contact us for more information.

Are the transport prices per vehicle or per person?

Transportation prices shown on our website are always per vehicle (not per person). The price you see is the price you pay to your driver after the tour is completed. No hidden fees. Your driver will be aware of the pre-arranged price.

If I need a tour within the next 12 hours, can I book it online?

Unfortunately, that will not be possible. Bookings should be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Will I have to share the vehicle with others who are not in my party?

We only do private tours. When you reserve a vehicle via our company, no matter whether it is a 3 passenger car, 8 passenger minivan or 20 passenger minibus, the vehicle is exclusively yours for the whole journey.

Where will the driver meet me?

Your driver will wait for you at your hotel reception on-time. If you are staying in an apartment of villa, please provide a contact number so that the driver can give you a call when he reach your accommodation.

What if do not find the driver?

In rare cases, customers may take some minutes to locate their driver. Our customers receive their driver’s contact details by email one day before the tour. Customers call liaise with the driver directly or simply our office or hotline so that our personnel can assist you & liaise with the driver.

Are the vehicles fully licensed and insured?

All supplied vehicles are fully licensed by the local authorities and carry an up to date Public service transport license. Be careful of bogus airport transfer advertisers as there are a number openly operating in Mauritius without licenses and liability insurance.

Can i order a baby seat or booster seat?

You can order child seats and booster seats on the online booking form. The first child seat is free of charge. Any additional child seat requested will be charged at EUR10 per transfer. You can also bring your own baby/toddler seat if you would like to do so.

Bad weather conditions

In case the local tourism authorities issue a bad weather warning on the day you have booked the tour, choose to re-schedule the tour for the another day or receive a full refund within 24 hours.

An important highlight of the trip is the spectacular landscape of Coin de Mire and Flat island, with high cliffs that rise to the sky that serve as a nest to large colonies of tropical birds that are seen flying and gliding by. Built on the highest point of Flat Island, there is a historic white lighthouse that remains a beacon for fishermen and other sailors entering the waters of Mauritius from the north. In the distance, the highly distinctive shapes and colors of Round Island. The northern islands are precious remnants of the former natural state of Mauritius and important shelters for the rare and endangered species of the country, many of which are not found anywhere else in the world.

After about an hour of easy cruising, you will discover the magic of the Flat island and Gabriel Island, the escapes to the island of Mauritius and the Nature Reserves declared by the Government, which have beaches of white and crystalline sand, beautiful gardens of Coral, a rich birdlife, spectacular coastal landscapes, and an informal atmosphere.

Do not forget your camera! You can also dive in the beautiful lagoon, or simply relax in the sun on the beautiful sandbar that Ile aux Gabriel is best known for.

Gabriel Island: also known as Ilot Gabriel, it is located near the Round Island and the Flat Island, at the north end of Mauritius, about 10 kilometers north of Cap Malheureux. The distance between Gabriel Island and the flat island is only 750 meters. The size of the island is 42 hectares, which makes it much smaller than Flat Island, and the highest point is 28 meters.

Ilot Gabriel Island is a protected nature reserve. Compared to Flat island, Gabriel Island has much less flora and vegetation. The island is famous for its beautiful pristine beaches, with crystal clear waters that surround the entire island. It is a very popular site for divers, and also offers excellent dive sites.
