OVERVIEW OF CATAMARAN CRUISE TO ILOT BENITIERS ISLAND

The catamaran leaves the embarkation point at Le Morne Anglers Club at 9:15 a.m from where we proceed to visit the Bay of Tamarin, in search of dolphins.

Then, we will navigate slowly towards the “crystal rock” and we will stop on the way to snorkel and swim next to the coral reef. Once you get to the Crystal Rock, you can take another swim while the crew prepares a delicious barbecue on-board. After lunch, you will discover the island of Ilot Benitier (approximately 40 minutes). There is a Tender boat at your disposal to take you to the island. Finally, we sail back to Black River, where we arrived at approximately 3:30 p.m.

How to book

BOOKING WITH TRAVELHUB

You will receive a confirmation email and voucher ticket instantly after booking.
You can present the voucher either in printed or via your mobile.

If using our transport services, you will receive your driver’s contact details by email at least a day before your scheduled tour.
Meet your driver on-time at your hotel reception. Please always inform your hotel in advance about his arrival so as to avoid any delays at the hotel entrance. The pick-up time will be communicated to you 1-2 days before OR feel free to ask us via Chat, Email or Whatsapp if need it urgently.

How do I pay for my tour?

An upfront online payment will be required to confirm your booking. Pay online with your credit card via Paypal.

Existing customers can choose to pay in cash directly to the driver. A past booking reference might be required. Please contact us for more information.

Are the transport prices per vehicle or per person?

Transportation prices shown on our website are always per vehicle (not per person). The price you see is the price you pay to your driver after the tour is completed. No hidden fees. Your driver will be aware of the pre-arranged price.

If I need a tour within the next 12 hours, can I book it online?

Unfortunately, that will not be possible. Bookings should be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Will I have to share the vehicle with others who are not in my party?

We only do private tours. When you reserve a vehicle via our company, no matter whether it is a 3 passenger car, 8 passenger minivan or 20 passenger minibus, the vehicle is exclusively yours for the whole journey.

Where will the driver meet me?

Your driver will wait for you at your hotel reception on-time. If you are staying in an apartment of villa, please provide a contact number so that the driver can give you a call when he reach your accommodation.

What if do not find the driver?

In rare cases, customers may take some minutes to locate their driver. Our customers receive their driver’s contact details by email one day before the tour. Customers call liaise with the driver directly or simply our office or hotline so that our personnel can assist you & liaise with the driver.

Are the vehicles fully licensed and insured?

All supplied vehicles are fully licensed by the local authorities and carry an up to date Public service transport license. Be careful of bogus airport transfer advertisers as there are a number openly operating in Mauritius without licenses and liability insurance.

Can i order a baby seat or booster seat?

You can order child seats and booster seats on the online booking form. The first child seat is free of charge. Any additional child seat requested will be charged at EUR10 per transfer. You can also bring your own baby/toddler seat if you would like to do so.

Bad weather conditions

In case the local tourism authorities issue a bad weather warning on the day you have booked the tour, choose to re-schedule the tour for the another day or receive a full refund within 24 hours.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE CATAMARAN CRUISE TO ILE AUX BENITIERS

It’s time for a sunny getaway on the west coast of Mauritius. The gentle breeze of the ocean announces an impressive day on the catamaran cruise to Ile Aux Benitiers with the most welcoming team.

Slightly get on board the catamaran. Inland, observe the Black River mountain range and the mythical Morne mountain, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. When the catamaran leaves the bay, the landscape unfolds in all shades of green and blue, from the crystalline lagoon to the great depths of the open ocean. Rest assured: the crew will only navigate easily along the reef.

Our first stop: Tamarin Bay. Watch for spinner dolphins or bottlenose dolphins that remain in our waters of the west coast. If you’re lucky, you could be in sight, just so you can admire the acrobatics of these beloved mammals that could be the highlight of your tropical vacation.

The boat then goes to Black River, all the sails raised. In the lagoon, a reef approximately two meters deep, houses colorful fish and small crustaceans. Get on your snorkel gear and chase the butterfly fish or make a joke with the trumpet fish while admiring the coral outcrops scattered on the white sand. Taste the saltiness of the water as you swim under the vigilant and trained eye of the crew, ready to intervene if someone needs help.
